Tonight is the night that two Spring Independent School District teachers will receive the surprise of a lifetime at the Spring ISD Employee Recognition Banquet. Randall Reed and Planet Ford in Spring will be honoring the top two educators in the school district; awarding one teacher a brand new Ford vehicle and the other a Caribbean vacation!
Shawn Burns, General Manager and Operating Partner of Planet Ford will have the honor of announcing the district’s Elementary and Secondary Teacher of the Year. One teacher will be handed the keys to a new Ford donated by Randall and Sherry Reed and Planet Ford on I-45 (serving The Woodlands, greater Houston, Aldine, Cypress, Conroe). Another teacher will be awarded an all-inclusive Carnival Cruise for two, also provided by the Reed Family and Planet Ford.
“Our teachers are at the heart of the community,” said Randall Reed, owner of World Class Automotive Group and Planet Ford. “These amazing educators not only teach, they mold lives and have an impact on our children’s future… and our future. With all they do, we’re thrilled to be able to recognize their outstanding work with the gift of a new Ford or dream getaway.”
Mr. Burns agrees. “There really is not enough we can do to celebrate and thank the teachers in our community. We’re looking forward to being able to surprise these amazing educators and handing over their well-earned rewards.”
The Spring ISD Employee Recognition Banquet takes place May 3, 2016, at the Hilton North Houston, 12400 Greenspoint Drive, Houston, TX. The event begins at 6:00 p.m. and the presentation will take place around 7:50 p.m. Media will have opportunity to conduct interviews before and after the big announcement is made.
Spring ISD’s Teacher of the Year program recognizes outstanding educators for their passion and commitment to excellence in education. Each Spring ISD school selects their campus Teacher of the Year, who are invited to submit written materials to be considered as a finalist for the district’s Teacher of the Year. A selection committee chooses an Elementary and a Secondary Teacher of the Year to represent the district.
