Ford To Reduce Debt


A resent article found in The Associated Press stated that Ford Motor Co., the only Detroit automaker to avoid bankruptcy protection, said Wednesday it will reduce its huge debt by another $4 billion as it continues to show signs of financial strength.

The article also said that, “the payments are another sign of confidence that the company’s restructuring plan is working.”
Ford sales have been up more than 30 percent through May, almost double the 17 percent increase in total U.S. car sales.

Ford Motor Co. Expanding Soy Foam & Biobased Materials Use



Ford will continue expanding their “green” effort according to a recent article found in USAgNet. The article stated that…



the new 2011 Ford Explorer will now feature soy foam in seat cushions and seatbacks, further expanding the company’s use of biobased products. Ford is expanding its use of bio-based soy foam through its vehicle lineup this year as part of an ongoing effort to use more renewable and recyclable materials.

Mustang gets 776 Miles on tank of gas

For a Ford Team that originally plan to see if the Ford Mustang could get 1,000 laps they were surprise to see what would happen next.

The 2011 Ford Mustang surpass the 1,000 laps and went on to complete 1,457 laps. The trip totaled 776.5 miles on a 16-gallon tank. Oh course the drivers were cruising around the Bristol Motor Speedway at a pace of 43.9 mph and the trip took over 17 hours.

Many car enthusiast are aware that the 2011 Ford Mustang is the first car with more than 300 horsepower to get over 30 mpg on the highway and a Ford team recently proved it can do even better.

Ford F150 tops the list

The Ford F-150 topped Kelley Blue Book’s ranking of new pickups this year.

The Kelley Blue Book, which analyzes vehicle pricing and values, called the F-150 “strong and refined in every aspect,” from its exterior styling to its towing.
