Planet Ford in Spring Presents $6,000 to Klein Oak High School

On June 3rd, Planet Ford’s General Manager/Operating Partner, Shawn Burns, presented Klein Oak High School with a check for $6,000. The funds were raised as part of the “Drive One 4 UR School” program by Ford.  Planet Ford and the school achieved this goal by hosting 300 test drives on April 13th at the school. Ford donated $20 for each ride.

Planet Ford in Spring (serving The Woodlands, Aldine, Cypress, Tomball, and greater Houston) and Ford Motor Co. both believe it is key to give back to the community. One of those ongoing unified efforts is called Drive One 4 UR School. Students, parents, family, teachers, faculty and community all come together to help raise big money for their local schools.

Planet Ford would like to thank everyone who came out and helped make the event a huge success.  The “Drive One” event was a home run!

One new feature available in select models is the car-like rotary dial that shifts gears as well as the air-leveling suspension system. The Ford F-150 has 10 available trims with its twin engine Ecoboost V-6 that produces 365 horsepower (16% more than the average for all pickup trucks) with 420 pound-feet of torque (15% more than the average for all pickups). The RAM 1500′s interior is centered around the vehicles UCONNECT infotainment system which is available for the first time. On the higher level trim models there are a few interior upgrades however one bump that remains is that transmission hump that takes up valuable space and legroom.(ramtrucks.com)

The Ford F-150 takes a different approach with more legroom and its fully-flat load floor. Also available in the 2013 F-150, drivers will enjoy SYNC with available MyFord Touch, which provides users with hands-free calling, climate control, navigation, 911 assist, streaming apps, vehicle health reports, and more. The RAM 1500 has several safety features including front-side airbags and full-length side curtain airbags. However, the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety gave the RAM marginal roof strength test results. (www.IIHS.org)
